the ALBERTA EXPROPRIATION ASSOCIATION (AEA)The Alberta Expropriation Association is a non-profit professional association whose objective is to promote public awareness of the principles relating to the expropriation of property rights and surface rights. In addition, the Association promotes fellowship and exchange of philosophies amongst colleagues practicing in the profession. Founded in 1988, the Association hosts an annual conference drawing important academics, professionals and experts from across Canada and internationally to discuss developments and the conduct of expropriation in Alberta. Our annual Spring Dinners in Edmonton and Calgary also support collegial relationships amongst the expropriating authorities and the legal, appraisal and other experts. This website is designed to inform and educate those who are interested in expropriation. |
